Thanks to the track workers
Pictures courtesy of Head-On Photos opentracking.com would like to thank the dedicated track workers, flaggers, volunteers and organizers that make opentracking possible. I think we too often take them for granted. I always like to wave at them on the cool down lap. I want them to know I appreciate their presence and value the safety margin they provide. I am especially aware of their dedication when running a track event in 100+ degree heat. It must get pretty tough out there in such conditions. Thank you Flaggers!
Thanks to the Safety Crews
Pictures courtesy of Head-On Photos The Safety Crews deserve special recognition from we opentrackers. They are often on the track trying to tow a car out while the track is still open and active. The safety crews dedication and bravery help provide us with maximum track time during the day. In fact their ability and willingness to go out on track during a session translates directly into track time for all of us. Thank you Safety Crew!
It's NOT racing!
Pictures courtesy of Head-On Photos opentracking is not a competitive event. There is no 1st, 2nd or 3rd place positions. A true "Opentracker" is focused on enjoying the limits of his or her vehicle. If you are not a focused opentracker, then you should not be on the track! Safety should be the number one priority. It is through safety and courtesy that you will find true opentracking pleasure. Don't ruin your day! Stay off the hook!
