Putnam Park Open Track Day, September 21st (Friday). Added 08/11/01 This is for experienced people and will be hosted by Motorsports Driving Club. The format for the day is that they will be green from 9 to 5 with a 1 hour lunch break. There will be no run groups so you run anytime you want for as long as you want. Corner workers will be provided so they can have up to 18 cars on the track at a time. The cost is $300 each if you sign up early. If you are interested you can contact Manny Lozano to get more details. His email address is llozano@prodigy.net They need to get 20 people signed up to make the event happen. This should be more track time the you would know what to do with.

Mid-West Track Event in September Added 08/11/01 Driver's Edge has an event at the newly repaved Hallett track September 15-16. Rick Schwalenberg, who owns Driver's Edge, has offered a reduced rate to opentracking.com when you combine a Hallet event with an upcoming Driver's Edge event at Motorsports Ranch or Texas World Speedway.

Newly Added date at Heartland Park, Added 06/15/01 Heartleand Park Raceway has CANCELLED their Sept 29 - 30 event (Topeka, KS) and replaced it with a July 14 - 15 "Driver's Education" event at the 2.5 mi facility. Please adjust your event calendars accordingly. The new event runs two days = $220.00... If you register for this event BEFORE June 25... the fee is $175.00. The $220.00 is for after June 25 registrants. Classroom and instructors for those who require/request. Mini Nats XVIII is just around the corner, Added 06/09/01 A Northern California All Ford Event. The Nor Cal Region of the Shelby American Automobile Club proudly presents its 18th Annual Mini-Nats Convention. Recognized as "The Western Event" for Ford enthusiasts, Mini-Nats is the largest West Coast gathering of Cobras, Shelby Mustangs, GT40s, Sunbeam Tigers, DeTomaso Panteras, Mustangs of any vintage, and other high-performance Fords.
Reminder- The track event portion of this event is for Shelby Club members only. Nevertheless this event can be thoroughly enjoyed as a spectator. The cars on track are often collectibles and you can also enjoy the car show and socializing with friendly people.
