2.8 GT4 Race Engine

I am selling my 2.8 twin plug race motor and specifically built for running in PCA club racing . The motor has low hours, probably about 10 race hours from the previous owner. This particular motor was originally built for reliability by Chris at Musante Motorsports(motor will last ~1.5 seasons racing w/ 7800rpm shift point. ) and dyno'ed 231 rwhp and 194 ft/lbs torque.

I have receipts for the engine rebuild (J&E pistons, 12.5:1 steel lined cylinder set, custom cams, twin plug conversion, valve lightening and high flow valve job, modify heads for 2.8 conversion, electromotive ignition with custom crank trigger wheel and more) totaling $17k without the phase 9 head/exhaust (another ~$3k). The phase 9 stuff is AirBorn coated. I want $12k for the motor to cover a conversion to a streetable motor. I am located in the DC/MD area. I researched shipping, and people on Pelican seem to favor

1993 mustang mustang LX. One owner. Purchased brand new from south city ford in south san francisco and been with me ever since. Black, very nice paint with the exception of the front fenders Full Griggs chassis/suspension/cage 2 ballast mounts under car for safe mounting and biasing left and right side weight.
Griggs hybrid 8.8/9" rearend with goldtrack, 31 spline mosers, -1 degree camber, T/A cover(modified for watts), AN vent fitting, integral tie down points, all powdercoated. This rearend only has 3 weekends on it.
griggs aluminum driveshaft 1" shorter to work with motor setback.  Entire rear suspension, long arms, twin tube torque arm, watts, has 3 weekends on it. Track 1 shocks have 5. Baer touring rear brakes(rotors have 3 weekends and are BAER new in-house brand.) No front brakes manual pedal setup. Custom ducting for front brakes Steering rack(ford not some cheapo rebuild) has less than one season on it. Power steering cooler
braided ss AN fuel lines with all fittings, filter, rails, etc.
Crane ignition(HI6) Aluminum catch/breather cans for rearend and motor/power steering Optima battery with custom aluminum box MOMO steering wheel with quick release Teamtech harness  Right rear corner has some minor sheetmetal damage. I intend to have all metalwork done, not including finish work(plastic filler/paint), prior to sale unless buyer requests otherwise. Kirkey 16” speedway deluxe seat (brand new side mounts included, but needs to be mounted) original cobra R-58 wheels with toyos ARP studs with proper knurl sizing installed in front hubs Brand new, never installed Harwood bolt on fiberglass hatch Spare set of brand new front fenders
Spare GT nose and fender extensions (real ford part not reproduction) There are several miscelaneous parts that go with this, but this is the major componentry

USED HELMETS (ANY CONDITION)

I am looking to buy used racing helmets in any condition to use in displays. The helmets could be Snell expired, write-offs, scratched, or even new.

I'm mostly interested in the high-end models such as Bell (Dominator, Vortex, K1-Sport, M3, XFM-1), Simpson (Shark, Vudo, Bandit, RX), Arai (GP2, GP3, GP4, GP5), Shoei (Quattro, X4) and Bieffe (F1GP, F1, Predator). However if you have something else of note i.e. an old Bell Star, a GPA etc. I will also consider it.

So if you want to make some cash from that old helmet that is sitting in the corner doing nothing please get in contact.

 I take FANTASTIC care of the Cobra; it's always garaged.  Never been in any kind of accident. Amsoil 5W30 synthetic oil for years, changed regularly.  Have all maintenance records. White exterior with black leather interior.  This car is just as comfortable downtown as it is at Laguna Seca.

Car drives like a dream, great in the corners and pulls like an animal to the redline.

Complete 99 Cobra K member, control arms, Koni's, 2000 Cobra R springs, urethan bushings, caster camber plates, and spindles. The K member has had the Kenny Brown fix. This allows 7 degrees of caster. Also Steeda Ultralite wheels and BFG racing rubber. Will make a great deal as a package or will separate.

Mods:
· A/C removed (parts stored), Radio removed, (stock and aftermarket stored) Alpine, BA, couple of amps and sub, EGR system removed. You will need stock or headers to put it back, if desired, Fluidyne Radiator, NOVI 2000 SC, 42lb fuel system, injs, 255 intank, pierberg inline, KB BAP, Pro-M meter for 42’s with SC curve., IMRC system eliminated. You would need new IMRC plates to put it back stock. All other hardware and electronics stored, SHM engine – broken. No idea what went wrong. #7 is bypassing and pumping oil – bad. It has about 2 hours since new build and rebalance. Data sheet available. It might be something simple – it might not ---- caveat emptor, New clutch disk, Tri-Ax shifter – just fits me better – stock stored, Al driveshaft – stock stored, 3:55 gears, Wilwood 6 piston front brake setup – braided lines – one set of new pads – stock PBRs stored, Front Suspension – IPS SLA. Stock K-member, control arms & Bilstein Struts
stored, Rear Suspension – just good heim jointed upper & lowers. Also has KB, Panhard, Kirkey Al Racing Seats – no stocks saved, Roll bar with removable 5 point camlock harnesses (welded in) SFC’s, Extra newly rebuilt tracklock w/ extra clutch setup, Extra T45 – freshly built and never used, Extra set of wheels – MAS MGR’s 17x9.5, Misc extra rubber SZ50’s and 3 Hoosiers I think. The paint has some nicks here and there – compounding would fix 90% of it. The top is like new and is still fully powered. New windshield. The car made 495 at the wheels with a rpm limit set at 6800. The computer is not stock. A Ford Powertrain Engineer reflashed it for the current setup. The PATS system has been turned off.

I need $10K for this car and I think that is a more than fair price even with motor problems.

I won’t part any of this stuff out.
